Turn Flow
A visual overview of the standard turn, interruptions, and claiming too late.
Standard turn
This loop repeats as long as nobody claims the discard.
First turn of the jongh
| Player | Starting position | First action |
|---|---|---|
East (jongh) | 14 tiles | immediately discard 1 tile |
South, West, North | 13 tiles | first draw, then discard |
This quickly shows why the 1st turn differs from all following turns.
When a discard interrupts the turn
When claiming too late is really too late
Quick reading rule
Eastopens by discarding.- A valid claim breaks the ordinary turn loop.
- After a new draw or a taken straight, the previous discard is definitively over.
