Points Counting

A worked example of counting, multiplying, and rounding.

This page walks through 1 hand completely from the opened combinations to the rounded outcome.

Example hand

A winner has:

  • 1 open poeng of 5 bamboo
  • 1 closed kong of East
  • 1 straight of 3-4-5 numbers
  • 1 straight of 6-7-8 circles
  • a final pair of the own wind
  • the winner draws the winning tile themselves

In addition:

  • the hand is toei-toei-foei
  • there is 1 own flower
