When a hand becomes dead
- Counting error in the hand
- Flower not replaced
- Incorrect straight, poeng, or kong remains in place
- Old mistake discovered too late
Valid and invalid counting

Quick reading rule
- The most common dead hand is an error in the number of tiles.
- Old mistakes are not reopened after play has visibly continued.
Invalid tjokis not a valid win; play stops immediately, but the other3players may still settle.
