7 Flowers
The special flower win with lower and higher outcomes.
7 flowers is a special winning form. The player does not need an ordinary winning hand for it.
Main rule
If a player places 7 flowers open, that player wins that game type.
Outcomes
| Situation | Outcome |
|---|---|
7 flowers with both own flowers among them | Sam Van |
7 flowers without both own flowers | Liong Van |
8 flowers | Man Kong |
During the deal
There are 2 extra routes to the maximum:
7flowers directly after the deal, after drawing replacement tiles7flowers already placed open during the deal
In both cases the source calls it Man Kong.
Exception to too short
This hand also forms the exception to the ordinary rule for a hand that is too short. A player who is too short can still win through 7 flowers.
Traditional playing style
The traditional source keeps the same main division for 7 flowers: Liong Van without both own flowers and Sam Van with both own flowers.
With 8 flowers, the traditional wording is less strict than the modern main rule. There it states a premium of Sie Van or Man Kong, while the modern main rule directly uses Man Kong.
Source comparison
The traditional comparison of points and multipliers additionally preserves an older split with goede bloemen:
1goede bloem =2multipliers2goede bloemen =3multipliers8flowers =4multipliers
Because the traditional source does not independently define the term goede bloem, this split remains a source note and not a main rule of this page.
